AquaBlade™ gravity purification filter utilizes clean water tech designed with silver-impregnated ceramic micro-porous outer shell combined with activated carbon granular core technology. The granular core technology is made from the highest quality NSF component certified (ANSI 61) coconut shell based activated carbon and other superior adsorbent materials including B2 (ANSI 61). The ceramic shell and our activated carbon granular combines mechanical filtration and physical adsorption processes to reduce a wide variety of drinking water contaminants of both aesthetic and health concerned. The porestructure of the ceramic enables sufficient contact time for the activated carbon granular core to improve taste and odor as well as reducing chlorine, chloramine, volatile organic compounds, MTBE, lead, mercury, asbestos, arsenic, and fluoride. The cleanable ceramic shell is designed to remove suspended solids, pathogenic bacteria and cysts. The AquaBlade™ filter elements have been tested in accordance with NSF protocols for cyst, turbidity, particulates, lead, chloramines and chlorine reduction.
- The expected lifespan of the AquaBlade™ purification filter has an estimated life of 1,200 gallons per filter, or after 18 months of continuous use – over 3 to 5 times that of our competitors.
- Cleanable ceramic shell allows for much longer useable life, making them an excellent option for emergency preparedness or natural disasters where it may otherwise be difficult to find replacement filters.
- Each filter candle will process 2.5 gallons of water every two hours. A set of four water filter candles will process 2.5 gallons in 1/2 hour by splitting the work load.
- Our filters have been tested for regulatory compliance by an independent test laboratory & meet ANSI & NSF standards.
